Avengers

I found this scrounging around in the archives and thought it was worth sharing.  Has it really been almost 5 years?

I had forgotten about just how frustrated I was at the time when I came knocking on the Avengers door.  I was beat down and tired of roaming from shell to shell without a true place I could call home.

Y’all really came through for me over the years.  Through all the good times and the bad. Whether in low or high membership times. Avengers members have become some of my closest friends over the years in game and in real life. I don’t think I could find a better extended family. We are a great team and I look forward to continuing this legacy in the new game.

First off I would like to say hello to everyone. My name is Cubia. I am a level 75 SMN with 189 days actual playtime no bazzaring on this character.

Out of this massive amount of time I have spent most of it helping friends, and getting to know people. Now most of my friends have moved on to other games and I have had trouble finding a home since.

I have been in numerous shells since Austopia broke up, We gathered our members and moved on to FellowshipOfTheShell. Then its leader left to do HNM and our members scattered to the wind, I guess a year is a good life for any shell tho. After awhile I found a home in CarbunclesRuby, was a great shell with lots of knowledgeable SMN. Alas, shortly after it’s leader left and I havent found a another social shell that i have enjoyed.

Most shells I have tried, are either too quiet, too full of noncoherent idiots, or constant whining and pestering for help. Not that I dont mind people asking for help, but if no one has answered you by the 6th time you spam for help, everyone is probably busy.

Currently my social ls,  matches most of the above. I am in a hnmls as well, but end game events have been more chaotic than fun for me so far. The gil i don’t too much need and not much eq for SMN from the hnm. The drama isn’t worth the headache.

Dynamix, now that is a LS, the teamwork they show is incredable. Thats what I enjoy. Good fun, moving towards a goal and little bickering over drops. I would like to find a main LS like that. Good fun, and friendship is what I value most in this game.

I am not the best SMN in the game, nor am I the worst. However, I listen to all advice in order to become better. I will help anyone, If I am not busy. I will drop what I am doing to help if you have helped me.

For those that have had the paitence to read this long post, you can see I like to speak my mind. Many don’t like that, However If you do and think TeamAvengers social or HNM LS Is for me, let me know. I could use some new friends.

Open Beta starts in just over an hour – exciting stuff. We will decide our fate of which world we will play in from here on out! Not sure what world that is just yet, but we will post it up in the forums so everyone can see. I thought this video was appropriate for the occasion.

FFXIV launch for the collector’s edition is only 60 days away. Can you feel it? The forums are waking up again. We have spotted some old faces coming back around. Did I see a Willendowed with a Rickshaw at a pub? I think so! Mierin even dusted off his Internet connection and is making appearances. Elexa and Tlaltecutle are itching for some action. Ecaroh is planning how is going to take over the auction house – I can only imagine the renovation plans he has for his home to set up crafting central. We have some new parents in the linkshell since we were all together in FFXI – welcome to the wonderful world of being a daddy guys.

Beta is progressing. Eorzeapedia is taking off. We have some new faces around looking to hang with the Avengers. Enjoy the rest of the summer, for when the fall comes so does FFXIV.
